  • Hands-on data pipeline:

    Automated X-Ray images analysis!

In this workshop you are going to configure an automated pipeline on OpenShift, Red Hat's Kubernetes distribution. This pipeline makes a real time risk assessment of pneumonia on incoming X-Ray images, using a pre-trained machine learning model.

But don’t worry, you don’t have to have any prior knowledge about data science to do this!

This workshop also features a live Grafana dashboard that displays the flow of images, the images themselves as they are processed, along with the resource consumption.

  • Workshop content:

The workshop features the following sections:

    • Description of the scenario and small preview of the demo to understand the many parts involved
    • Create resources and helpers (config maps, secrets, web server,...)
    • Deploy a Kafka cluster with AMQ Streams and configure Kafka topics
    • Configure Bucket notifications on OpenShift Container Storage (Ceph)
    • Create an auto-scaling service consuming Kafka events with OpenShift Serverless
    • Use of Open Data Hub and Jupyter Notebooks to configure bucket notifications
    • Create a Grafana dashboard displaying the live pipeline
    • Run the demo! Modify the image rate, change the machine learning model, and see what happens...
    • Celebrate!
