  • Applied Visual Data Science in Healthcare with TIBCO

    TIBCO’s Connected Intelligence platform connects any application or data source; unifies data for greater access, trust, and control; and predicts outcomes in real time and at scale. During this workshop, we will take you through the following three sessions to share about how TIBCO can support applied visual data science in healthcare. 
     
    Session 1: AI-infused Visual Analytics with Spotfire 
    In this first session (45-60 min), we will walk you through two healthcare related projects powered by data science and share the insights from AI-infused visual analytics with TIBCO Spotfire. The first project is the COVID-19 visual analysis hub, and the second one is the hospital re-admission analysis project. 
     
    Session 2: Heart Failure Prediction 
    For session 2 (45-60 min), we will conduct a hands-on workshop that showcases how to use TIBCO Spotfire to build a data-driven visual analytics dashboard and run data science methods for predicting heart failure with multiple predictors. 
     
    Session 3: Life Expectancy Data Analysis 
    TIBCO Data Science team produced a powerful dashboard backed by a collection of predictive models and built on multiple datasets that required quite a bit of wrangling and preparation. In the last session (60 min), we will demonstrate the interactive analytics dashboard about life expectancy, which also shows the breadth of TIBCO's data science platform.

    ModelArts is a one-stop development platform for AI developers. With data preprocessing, semi-automated data labeling, distributed training, automated model building, and on-demand model deployment on the device, edge, and cloud, ModelArts helps AI developers quickly build models and efficiently manage the AI development lifecycle.
     
    ModelArts covers all stages of AI development, including data processing and model training and deployment. The underlying technologies of ModelArts support various heterogeneous computing resources, allowing developers to flexibly select and use resources. In addition, ModelArts supports popular open source AI development frameworks such as TensorFlow and MXNet. Developers can also use self-developed algorithm frameworks to match their usage habits. 
     
    ModelArts aims to simplify AI development. 
     
    Target Audiences: 
    - AI developers with varying levels of development experience. 
    - Service developers can use ExeML to quickly build AI application without coding. 
    - Beginners can directly use built-in algorithms to build AI applications. 
    - AI engineers can use multiple development environments to quickly compile code for modeling and application development.

    Dr. Qiao Nan

    Chief Scientist, Huawei Cloud Healthcare

    Dr. Qiao Nan received his Ph.D. in bioinformatics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. After his Ph.D., he joined Novartis Pharma to develop anticancer drugs by analyzing the genome of cancer. During his work at Novartis Pharma, he made significant contributions to the research and development of anticancer drugs. Winner of the Novartis Teamwork Award and the Novartis Preferred Award. He joined Accenture in 2015 and became the chief scientist of Accenture China and led the establishment of the Accenture China Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Accenture AI Labs has developed a wide range of AI assets and solutions by combining advanced AI capabilities with specific cases from different industrial sectors. Joined HUAWEI CLOUD in 2019 and became the Chief Scientist of HUAWEI CLOUD Healthcare. He was responsible for developing AI products, services, and solutions for the healthcare industry.
